On Tuesday, January 7, 2025, PowerSchool notified the Alabama State Department of Education about a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to specific customer data within the PowerSchool SIS platform.
PowerSchool has informed us that the compromised data primarily includes parent and student contact information, such as names and addresses. Additionally, across their customer base, they have identified that, for some individuals, certain personally identifiable information (PII), including medical information, may have been affected. PowerSchool is conducting a thorough investigation with urgency to determine whether any PII belonging to our students was impacted.
The protection of our students’ information is a top priority.
